The Splendid Medien AG, Cologne, signed an agreement with GEM Global Yield Fund, an international investment fund, on the subscription for shares from approved capital to the equivalent value up to 10 million euro. In the investment group GEM, Splendid has found an important large investor for their company.
The Agreement is a sequential obligation to subscribe. Splendid Medien AG will determine the times at which GEM Global Yield Fund will subscribe. A capital increase without any pre-emption rights on issues of new stock was agreed, which will be conditional on the respective stock exchange price and will cover a maximum period of two years.
The Cologne media company will essentially use the funds from this increase in equity capital to finance further film projects. In the past, Splendid Medien AG has co-produced and financed well known Hollywood productions, among them the film "Traffic", winner of four Oscars.
