Graz (euro adhoc) - Graz, January 20, 2010. International technology Group ANDRITZ will supply a complete wood pelleting plant including woodyard to RWE Innogy, the renewable energies company of the RWE Group. The order value is approximately 40 MEUR. Start-up of the plant, to be erected in Waycross, Georgia, USA, is scheduled for the beginning of 2011.
ANDRITZ FEED & BIOFUEL will deliver a debarking line, a chip handling system, as well as hammer and pellet mills. With a production capacity of approximately 750,000 t/a, this wood pelleting plant will be the largest in North America.
This investment is part of RWE´s growth strategy, which is largely based on reducing CO2 emissions by developing renewable energies in Europe.
