SinnerSchrader Aktiengesellschaft continued its profitable growth in the first quarter of the fiscal year 1999/2000 (1.9.-30.11.99). The eCommerce service and consulting company generated revenues of DM 6.3 m, an increase of 475 % on a year-on-year basis. SinnerSchrader combines strong growth and profitability. The operating profit amounted to DM 1.4 m approximatley 20 times the level reached in the first quarter of the previous fiscal year. The net income for the first quarter 1999/2000 was DM 0.7 m, resulting in earnings per share of DM 0.09.
A major growth driver is the development of the number of employees. While 24 people worked at SinnerSchrader at the end of November 1998 this figure stayed at 88 on November 30, 1999.
On January 17, 2000 SinnerSchrader has launched the business-to-business- channel ricardoBIZ.com for the German online auction house ricardo.de. Several other client projects went online in SinnerSchrader's first fiscal quarter: For AutoLeasing Deutschland (ALD) an eCommerce platform for the leasing business was established. In addition SinnerSchrader has implemented a virtual market for ALD's used cars under www.seconddrive.de. New designs and new features were developed for the websites of the shoe retailer Goertz-Schuhe and the telecommunications company Talkline.
For Germany's largest ticket seller, CTS Eventim AG, SinnerSchrader has created a an improved version of their platform www.eventim.de. Other new customers SinnerSchrader has won in the first quarter were the Internet platform Tomorrow Internet AG and the Internet start-up PropertyGate.com AG. For PropertyGate SinnerSchrader is currently working on a website for high-end real estate.
Recently, SinnerSchrader has also started work on the eFlower project, the joint venture with Blume2000. This venture will go online in the first half
of the current year selling plants and flowers via the Internet. SinnerSchrader is planning to start other venture projects in the near future.
"Creating winners in eCommerce" is SinnerSchrader's objective in any client project. With CTS Eventim AG and Softline AG planning to go public within the next months, there will soon be seven listed companies on Germany's Neuer Markt working with eCommerce solutions developed by SinnerSchrader. Since November 2, 1999 SinnerSchrader itself is listed on the Neuer Markt. In addition to the expansion of its business the successful IPO has clearly
marked SinnerSchrader's first quarter of fiscal 1999/2000.
