Christa Stienen joins Hellmann as Chief HR Officer

Osnabrueck, May 27, 2021. Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has recruited Christa Stienen as Chief HR Officer as of 01 August, 2021. Ms. Stienen succeeds Claudio Gerring, who, to the deepest regret of the entire company, passed away in December 2020 after a short serious illness. Over the course of 19 years, Mr. Gerring had passionately shaped Hellmann’s HR department and significantly developed the company’s global personnel policy.

As a proven HR expert, Ms. Stienen looks back on 30 years of experience in various management positions in Germany and abroad. She has focused particularly on the areas of personnel development and the establishment of global HR structures. Following assignments at Metro Group and Daiichi Sankyo Europe GmbH, she became the Senior Vice President Corporate HR at Lufthansa Service Holding AG in 2014. Most recently, Ms. Stienen served as the Chief Human Resources Officer for the Germany/Switzerland cluster at DB Schenker, where she was responsible for all aspects of HR.

"We are very pleased to have gained Ms. Stienen as our Chief HR Officer. She will continue to drive forward our global HR policy as an integral part of our management and, together with her team, implement our broad range of strategic goals on the HR side. Our employees and corporate culture are main pillars of our success, which is why we also need a strong and empathetic leadership in our HR management," says Reiner Heiken, Chief Executive Officer, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.
