Hellmann: Protecting wetlands is an important lever for climate protection

Osnabrueck, March 20, 2025. Hellmann Worldwide Logistics is the main sponsor of the Mission to Marsh European Film Tour 2025, sending a strong signal of its commitment to sustainability and climate protection. The partnership underscores the company's commitment to preserving valuable ecosystems – especially wetlands, which play a crucial role in the fight against climate change.

The film “Mission to Marsh” will be shown in 20 European cities to highlight the importance of wetlands as natural CO2 stores and as habitats for endangered species. The founders of the non-profit organization of the same name are also the film's protagonists. With their very personal experiences and strong mission, they will deepen the relevance of wetland conservation as part of a panel discussion with local environmental organizations at all screenings. The film tour will stop in Leipzig on March 22 and will be shown in other major cities such as Brussels, Paris and Milan in the following weeks and months.

“Supporting the Mission to Marsh European Film Tour is a matter close to our hearts. Sustainability has been an integral part of our company for decades and, in addition to its ecological aspects, also has a strong social component: we can only protect what we know and appreciate. By supporting this important project, we want to contribute to raising awareness of the crucial role that wetlands play in climate protection,” says Stefan Borggreve, Chief Operating Officer Road, Rail, CEP at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.

Alexander Kornelsen, Managing Director of Mission to Marsh gGmbH and filmmaker, also emphasizes the importance of the collaboration: “In Hellmann we have found a strong partner who understands that climate protection requires a cross-sectoral approach. Together, we can inspire people across Europe to protect wetlands and promote concrete actions.”
