THOSE WHO TRAVEL WITH RSD PROTECT PEOPLE AND THE ENVIRONMENT IN PARTICULAR
RECOGNITION FOR SUSTAINABLE TOURISM
Towcester (ots)
Not just talking about it but also acting consistently - for the preservation of nature and the environment, for better working conditions, for the future of us all! RSD was one of 7 companies to be awarded the title of "Travelife Partner" a year ago - and this important recognition has now been extended. Travelife - an important, internationally recognized tourism initiative - thus acknowledges RSD's commitment to social and ecological sustainability. This means that anyone who travels with RSD is making a special decision to protect people and the environment.
The core themes of the Travelife award are the social responsibility practiced by the company as well as fair business practices, the promotion of cultural diversity and, of course, compliance with clear, sustainable environmental standards.
RSD has developed a comprehensive catalog of strict in-house sustainability guidelines. They also apply to all cooperation partners. Here are a few examples:
- Only modern coaches with the lowest possible CO2 emissions are used in the destinations.
- RSD does not offer any local excursions that harm people, animals, plants or natural resources or are socially and culturally unacceptable. Trained tour guides accompany and advise RSD guests accordingly, also in order to promote local services, crafts and products.
- RSD employees abroad are protected by health and liability insurance in accordance with national law.
- Paperless working wherever possible, waste separation and the use of certified recycled paper.
RSD assumes a great deal of social responsibility worldwide. For years, this has also been documented by its support for children in need in Nepal, Turkey, Vietnam and South Africa, through various projects and fundraising campaigns.
