Greif-Velox Strengthens its Presence in the Asian Market with Distribution Partner ILLIES
Lübeck, 03.06.2021. Greif-Velox is continuing its international expansion. The packaging machine manufacturer is now working with distribution and project partner Illies, a company specializing in the marketing of high-quality machinery and systems in Asia. With this partnership, Greif-Velox is tapping into its potential in global growth markets like Japan, Thailand and South Korea.

According to figures from the Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau e. V. (German Mechanical Engineering Industry Association – VDMA), the number of packaging machine exports to Asia in 2019 increased by approximately 16% due to growing demand. The pandemic in 2020 put a damper on this growth, but it is now once again trending upward.
As a global market leader in bagging systems for ultra-light powders such as carbon black and silica, Greif-Velox can count on Illies as a real specialist for target markets. Already in its fifth generation, the Hamburg-based company has been acting as an interface between global technology leaders of the manufacturing industry and the Asian markets.
