Joining Forces to Protect the Climate: Schüco and Bernhard Langer
Getting into the swing with Germany's new golf legend
Bielefeld, Germany (ots)
Schüco continues to expand its presence in the world of international sport. Starting in January, Schüco, the world's No. 1 in solar technology, windows and façades for innovative building envelopes, will be planting its flag on great golf courses around the globe. In signing a cooperation agreement with Bernhard Langer, the company is teaming up with one of the most successful professional golfers of all time. Only a few weeks earlier, Schüco succeeded in signing up Martin Kaymer, the highest-ranking German in the current world golf rankings. The two top golfers will soon be serving as Schüco brand ambassadors.
Like Martin Kaymer, Bernhard Langer - the first German golfer to win world fame - will wear the Schüco logo at official events, and take part in various company activities during the coming year. The two-time major champion and successful Ryder Cup captain is now ready to tee off for Schüco, helping to bring the company's mission of "Energy2 - saving energy and generating energy" more into the public eye.
"We're very pleased to be cooperating with Bernhard Langer. He's a great sportsman with true international stature, and will make a competent, credible brand ambassador", declares Dirk U. Hindrichs, president and CEO of Schüco International, adding that "the sport of golf and our innovative products both exemplify technology in harmony with nature and the environment".
As Bernhard Langer confirms, "Schüco is about saving energy and generating energy. This is a truly remarkable corporate mission, and I look forward to spreading this important message around the globe. After all, it ties in very nicely with my golf game. Energy - and how efficiently I use it - is vital in this sport, whether I'm in training or on tour. I'm excited to be cooperating with Schüco."
