Lothar Späth announced at a press conference in Jena that, according to preliminary figures, the Group's annual net income has risen slightly over 150 percent from 33.3 million euros (65.1 million DM) the previous year. The annual net income in 2000 includes the profit from the sale of company shares amounting to 32.1 million euros (62.8 million DM). Excluding the sale, annual net income will have risen around 60 percent.
