Red Arrow Entertainment Group today announced the acquisition of a majority shareholding in July August Productions, a tier-one Israeli production company with demonstrated excellence in original format development, scripted series and feature films for major channels and prime-time slots. Production and distribution highlights include the game show "Still Standing" (2-season top performance on Channel 10; sold to US network NBC and Chinese Jiangsu Broadcasting with stellar ratings) and award-winning drama series "The A' Word" (2 seasons picked up by Keshet). The deal represents a key strategic move into a TV market well known for local creativity and global export appeal across genres.
July August is led by Managing Directors Lisa Shiloach and Eilon Ratzkovsky, both highly respected and successful players in the Israeli TV and film industry. Lisa's 20 years' experience incorporates TV production, including dramas, entertainment programs, game shows, documentaries, and the development of original TV formats such as "Still Standing" and "The Frame". Eilon is credited with some of the most successful films and drama series produced in Israel, achieving international rewards for "The Band's Visit", "The A' Word", "Champagne Spy", the Israeli version of "The Office", and many others.
Company founder Jasmine Group, a leading international media company specializing in VOD, multi-channel TV, production, post-production, video games and internet, continues to be a significant minority shareholder in July August. Red Arrow and Jasmine will partner to drive July August's growth and expansion.
