DHL Express Gateway in Istanbul erhält TAPA „A“-Zertifizierung und ist damit der 400. TAPA-zertifizierte Standort im globalen DHL Express Netzwerk
Bonn, 10. November 2022: Das DHL Express Gateway in Istanbul (Türkei) ist weltweit der 400. Standort, der von der Sicherheitsorganisation Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) sicherheitszertifiziert wurde. Die unabhängige Zertifizierung bestätigt, dass DHL Express in seiner Lieferkette die höchsten Sicherheitsstandards für den Transport und die Lagerung von Waren einhält. Mit diesem Meilenstein für das globale DHL-Netzwerk beweist das Unternehmen sein Engagement und stetiges Bemühen, die höchsten TAPA-Anforderungen an die Sicherheit der Anlagen (FSR) zu erfüllen.

Die international anerkannte TAPA-Zertifizierung zählt zu den strengsten Sicherheitszertifizierungen im Bereich Logistik und Supply Chain. Die unabhängige Zertifizierung gilt weithin als führender Sicherheitsstandard in der Transportbranche. Ihr Schwerpunkt liegt auf dem Umschlag, der Lagerung und dem Transport von hochwertigen Gütern. DHL Express garantiert, dass die Prozesse und Serviceleistungen den höchstmöglichen Standards der Branche entsprechen.

Über 400 Standorte von DHL Express verfügen nun über eine TAPA-Zertifizierung der Klasse A oder B – damit ist das Unternehmen weltweit in der Branche führend. Die zertifizierten Standorte von DHL Express verteilen sich auf insgesamt 79 Länder. 159 Standorte befinden sich in Europa, 104 in Asien-Pazifik, 28 in China, 70 auf dem amerikanischen Kontinent, 20 in Subsahara-Afrika und 24 im Nahen Osten und in Nordafrika.

DHL Express Istanbul Gateway achieves TAPA ‘A’ certification, becoming the 400th TAPA-certified site in the DHL Express global network
Bonn/Germany, November 10, 2022: The Istanbul Gateway of DHL Express in Turkey has become the 400th facility worldwide to be awarded with the Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) security certification. This independent recognition confirms that DHL Express has implemented the highest security standards for transporting shipments through the supply chain. This milestone for DHL’s global network demonstrates the company’s commitment and tireless efforts to meet the highest TAPA Facility Security Requirements (FSR) worldwide.
Adrian Whelan, Head of Global Security for DHL Express, comments: “Operating in more than 220 countries and territories, DHL Express is the most international company in the world, and security has always been a top priority for us. Although we always had our own internal security standards for many years, we are convinced that it is important to be independently verified and certified, mainly for our customers, so that they know their valuable shipments are in safe hands. Since certifying the first facility at Penang Gateway in Malaysia in 2001, we are now very proud to complete the certification of the 400th facility.” And he summarizes: “It is all about the customer and their needs – security and supply chain resilience is not a nice to have, it is a must have!”
