Aramco und DHL Supply Chain kündigen neues Joint Venture für End-to-End Beschaffungs- und Logistikservices an
- Ziel ist es, erstklassige und integrierte Beschaffungs- und Lieferkettendienstleistungen anzubieten.
- Erstes Drehkreuz dieser Art in der Region für Kunden aus den Sektoren Industrie, sowie Energie, Chemie und Petrochemie.
- Der Zusammenschluss wird Kunden helfen Effizienzen entlang ihrer Lieferkette zu steigern, dadurch Kostenvorteile zu erzielen und gleichzeitig den ökologischen Fußabdruck durch nachhaltigere Logistiklösungen zu verringern.
Dhahran, Saudi Arabien – 20. März 2023: Aramco, eines der weltweit führenden integrierten Energie- und Chemieunternehmen, und der international führende Kontraktlogistikanbieter DHL Supply Chain geben heute die Unterzeichnung eines Shareholder Agreements zur Gründung eines neuen Joint Ventures für Beschaffungs- und Logistikservices in Saudi-Arabien bekannt, das die Effizienz und Nachhaltigkeit der Lieferkette verbessern soll. Es wäre das erste Drehkreuz dieser Art in der Region für Kunden aus den Bereichen Industrie, Energie, Chemie und Petrochemie. Das Joint Venture soll 2025 betriebsbereit sein und dann robuste, integrierte Beschaffungs- und Lieferkettenservices für Unternehmen aus den Sektoren Industrie, sowie Energie, Chemie und Petrochemie anbieten. Das Joint Venture wird sich regional zunächst auf Saudi-Arabien konzentrieren, wobei eine Ausweitung auf die gesamte MENA-Region angestrebt wird.
Die herausragenden Kompetenzen von Aramco im Bereich Lieferkettenmanagement für die Bereiche Energie und Industrie gepaart mit dem erstklassigen Logistik Know-how von DHL sollen dazu führen, dass das Joint Venture nachhaltig Mehrwerte für die Kunden schafft, sei es in den Bereichen Einkauf, Lager- und Bestandsmanagement, im Transport oder der Rückwärtslogistik. Ziel des Joint Venture ist es, die besten Lösungen bei Beschaffung und Lieferkettenmanagement sowie beim Einsatz nachhaltigerer Transport- und Lagerlösungen anzubieten, was in der Folge zu einer Reduzierung der CO2 Emissionen auf Seiten der Kunden führen soll.

Die Gründung des Joint Ventures steht unter dem Vorbehalt behördlicher Genehmigungen und anderer üblicher Abschlussbedingungen.

Aramco and DHL Supply Chain announce new end-to-end Procurement and Logistics Hub joint venture

- Move expected to help customers drive supply chain efficiency and cost benefits, while reducing their carbon footprint through more sustainable solutions
Dhahran, Saudi Arabia – March 20, 2023: Aramco, one of the world’s leading integrated energy and chemicals companies, and international contract logistics provider DHL Supply Chain have announced the signing of a shareholders’ agreement for a new Procurement and Logistics Hub in Saudi Arabia, to enhance supply chain efficiency and sustainability. It would be the region’s first such hub catering to customers in the industrial, energy, chemical and petrochemical sectors. The joint venture aims to be operational in 2025 and provide reliable end-to-end integrated procurement and supply chain services for companies across the industrial, energy, chemical and petrochemical sectors. The joint venture would initially focus on Saudi Arabia, with aspirations to expand across the MENA region.
Aramco’s preeminent energy and industrial supply chain ecosystem and DHL’s world-class logistics expertise are expected to enable the joint venture to add value in meeting customers’ supply chain purchasing, warehouse and inventory management, transportation and reverse logistics needs. The aim is for the joint venture to achieve industry best practices in procurement and supply chain management, as well as the deployment of more sustainable supply chain, transport and warehousing solutions.

The formation of the joint venture is subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.
