Regensburg, 10. April 2024: Vitesco Technologies setzt bei der Logistik auf maximale Nachhaltigkeit, Resilienz und Effizienz. Der Schlüssel dazu ist eine neue strategische Partnerschaft mit DHL Supply Chain als Lead Logistics Partner (LLP). Ab März 2024 werden die Logistikströme der zwölf europäischen Standorte von Vitesco Technologies zentral von DHL durch das LLP-Center of Excellence in Warschau, Polen gemanagt. Das entspricht etwa 100.000 Transportbewegungen – und damit etwa einem Drittel des gesamten Frachtvolumens von Vitesco Technologies.
„Der wesentliche Treiber unseres Geschäfts ist die Entwicklung und Produktion nachhaltiger Technologien für die Mobilität von morgen. Dieses Geschäft wollen wir bis 2040 CO2-neutral betreiben. Nachhaltige Logistiklösungen sind ein bedeutender Schritt auf diesem Weg, den wir künftig gemeinsam mit DHL Supply Chain gehen werden“, sagt Thomas Kirchermeier, Head of Supply Chain Management von Vitesco Technologies.
Der große Vorteil des neuen Logistikkonzepts besteht darin, dass DHL Supply Chain als Lead Logistics Partner die Frachtvolumina von zahlreichen großen Unternehmen bündelt, um Synergieeffekte zu erzeugen und so neue Optimierungspotenziale erzielt. Die Logistikexperten nutzen dazu den gesamten Markt an Frachtführern und Speditionen und können die jeweils schnellsten, sichersten, umweltfreundlichsten und kostengünstigsten Transportlösungen bereitstellen. Davon profitieren Vitesco Technologies und alle Kunden: die Lieferketten werden robuster und noch verlässlicher.
Intelligente Logistik hilft dabei, den Ausstoß an Treibhausgasen zu senken
Das zentrale Frachtenmanagement durch einen weltweit führenden Logistiker wie DHL ermöglicht zudem maximale Transparenz der Transportwege – was nicht nur der Effizienz zugutekommt, sondern auch eine Reduktion der Treibhausgasmissionen bewirkt. Das gelingt, indem Lieferungen, die bislang separat abgewickelt wurden, in Zukunft kombiniert werden. Oder, indem vermehrt klimafreundliche Transportmittel genutzt werden. Hier trifft die Expertise von Vitesco Technologies im Bereich Elektromobilität auf die Praxiserfahrung von DHL, denn das Unternehmen betreibt die größte elektrische Fahrzeugflotte im Logistiksektor.

Regensburg, April 10, 2024: Vitesco Technologies focuses on maximum sustainability, resilience and efficiency in logistics. Key to this is a new strategic partnership with DHL Supply Chain as a Lead Logistics Partner (LLP). As of March 2024, the logistics flows of Vitesco Technologies’ twelve European locations will be centrally managed by DHL through the LLP Center of Excellence in Warsaw, Poland. This corresponds to around 100,000 transport movements within the supply chain to the plants as well as from the plants to the customers – and thus accounts for about a third of Vitesco Technologies’ total freight volume.
“The main driver of our business is the development and production of sustainable technologies for the mobility of tomorrow. We want to run this business in a CO2-neutral way by 2040.
