PWO had already expanded its capacity in fiscal year 2012 at its locations in the Czech Republic and China with two of the same types of forming presses. This new press belongs to one of the largest pieces of machinery within the PWO Group and allows for the highly-complex forming of materials such as high-strength steel, among others. The new press can achieve a much higher output than possible with conventional presses as a result of the modern servo-drive technology. This leads to a noticeable improvement in productivity. The resulting capacity expansion will be quickly consumed by the high level of new business experienced in the past years. Seat components, engine brackets, and engine housings among others will be produced on this new piece of equipment. The investment volume amounted to nearly EUR 5 million. By placing this new press into operation, PWO has concluded an important milestone in terms of its current investment program. As a result, PWO will be able to react even more efficiently and flexibly to customer demands in the future.
