Nordex wins 49.5 MW project in China Delivery of 33 turbines planned for summer 2011
Hamburg, 24 May 2011. Nordex is continuing its long-standing business partnership with Ningxia Electric Power: the Chinese power supplier has now ordered 33 S82/1500 machines for its "Niushoushan I" and "Niushoushan II" wind farms, thus increasing its Nordex portfolio to more than 250 MW.
The "Niushoushan" projects are to be installed to the South-East of the city of Qingtongxia, in the region of Ningxia. The wind turbines will be delivered in the summer of 2011 and will produce more than 130 gigawatt hours per year.
Nordex - a profile As a technological leader among suppliers of megawatt turbines, Nordex benefits particularly from the global trend towards large-scale wind turbines. The product range includes one of the largest series wind power systems in the world (N80/N90/N100, 2,500 kW) with more 1,500 of these turbines having been produced to date. This means that Nordex has a crucial edge in terms of experience in operating large turbines compared to most of its competitors in the sector. Overall, Nordex has installed a more than 4,400 turbines with a capacity in excess of 6,600 MW around the world.
