SinnerSchrader publishes third quarterly report and proves its profitability is sustainable - profit prognosis increased for the second time this year
Hamburg July 25, 2000. SinnerSchrader Aktiengesellschaft has achieved turnover of DM 19.4 million in the first nine months of the fiscal year 1999/2000. This represents a turnover increase of 253% on the comparable period of the previous year. The company's operating profit was DM 5.3 million, some 27% of turnover.
With a successful third quarter, the Hamburg-based consultancy and service provider of e-commerce solutions has proven that its profitability is sustainable. As a result the end of year profit expectations, which were already increased to DM 5.6 million in the last quarterly report, have practically been achieved after just nine months. SinnerSchrader is now assuming that year-end profits (31.08.2000) of above DM 6.0 million will be attained.
The dynamic expansion of the company has continued. In the core business, the conception, design and implementation of complex e-commerce solutions, the third quarter turnover figure was approximately 19% higher than that of the previous quarter. The number of employees also rose by 38% from 101 at the end of February to 140 at the end of May. Current there are 150 staff members, and it is assumed that by the end of August that figure will be above 160.
Know how and experience in the construction of complex e-commerce solutions have been combined in SinnerSchrader's new "unified commerce platform". With this platform, SinnerSchrader's goal of offering its customers an application in which all digital sales channels can be combined, is being reached. SinnerSchrader is especially aiming this technology at firms of the so-called 'old economy' for whom it will be possible to efficiently combine offline sales channels with online ones. The joint venture with Blume 2000 has already been fully based on the "unified commerce plattform".
Now SinnerSchrader is using three platforms for its eCommerce-projects: Unified Commerce, Intershop Enfinity and Apple Web Objects. The success of the company is based in the broadness of its technological competence. One of the new clients of SinnerSchrader is the world's largest direct mail company Otto Versand.
