17.12.2009
Cuxhaven, 17 December 2009 - Wind farm developer PNE WIND AG (ISIN: DE000A0JBPG2) has sold another package of several wind farms to EnBW Erneuerbare Energien GmbH. In total, seven onshore wind farms with up to 38 wind power plants and an installed capacity of 53 megawatt will be built in the coming months and handed over to EnBW Erneuerbare Energien GmbH after completion. The purchase agreement provides an investment amount of up to 1.7 million Euros per MW installed capacity.
PNE WIND AG and EnBW Erneuerbare Energien GmbH will continue to work together in the future. PNE Wind AG will carry out operational services for the onshore wind farms over the next 10 years.
end of ad-hoc-announcement ========================================== ====================================== Explanation
The wind farms will be built in Lower Saxony, Brandenburg and Saxony-Anhalt. Construction has already begun on some of the projects. In the course of 2010, all seven wind farms will be completed and subsequently transferred to EnBW Erneuerbare Energien GmbH. With a forecast average annual power production of about 117,000 megawatt hours, the wind farms will make a significant contribution to climate protection.
The sale of these seven wind farms is the second successful wind farm transaction between PNE WIND AG and EnBW Erneuerbare Energien GmbH. This shows the increasing interest, even of energy companies, in rapidly expanding wind power and, consequently, its increased usage in Germany.
The long-term legally stipulated conditions for compensating environmentally-friendly energy generated by the wind are having a positive effect.
