Image of the Month: Carbs for your wrist(watch)
Image of the Month: We’ll take a Danish, too... Even after the excesses of the holiday season. Carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen, in other words carbohydrates, are in fact an indispensable energy source for almost all the cells in the body. Most notably: The brain, red blood cells, and kidneys. Among other things, carbohydrates help maintain a healthy balance of water and electrolytes, and they are important for our bones and connective tissues. In fact, they can even generate new minutes and hours by simply winding a watch. For example, with the energy of one small breakfast roll (approx. 244 kcal), a NOMOS watch, such as the Orion model (pictured), can be wound 3,400,000 times. Meaning it would run for 5,950,000 days on just one breakfast roll—the epitome of “slow-release carbs.”
If you would like to learn more about watches, highly efficient movements and nutrition, or if you would like to start the year with a burst of energy, and find out more about Glashütte and watchmaking, we’d be delighted to hear from you. We’ll be here for you.
Sincerely,
