Ahrensburg, 2nd Mai 2000 - Inspection systems made by Basler AG, the leading supplier of artificial vision systems for quality inspection, increasingly provide the "right view" regarding flat screens. One of Asian's upcoming manufacturers of fabricated materials for the production of flat screens decided for the products of the business division Display Inspection and placed a large-scale order to the amount of several million DM. The estimations of the analysts have thus been proved to be correct stating that this business division of Basler would turn out to be one of the future growth drivers of the company.
The Asian customer will use the BASLER Sensic inspection system for a 100% quality inspection and, process optimization for the production of fabricated materials of flat screens. On behalf of the leading testing performance of the BASLER Scenic, defects smaller than a human hair can be tracked down reliable within seconds on screens measuring one metre square. Any possible existing scrap is sorted out from the start and thus a "zero defect quality" at minimal cost is feasible for the customer.
"This order marks another important milestone in the building up of the business division display inspection. We are today more than ever convinced, that this business division only founded in December 1998 will give us a lot of more pleasure in future", comments Dr. Dietmar Ley, chairman of the Board of Management of Basler AG, this order.
