Brose is one of the pioneers of sustainable transformation

Coburg (August 28, 2024). Brose is a finalist for the German Sustainability Award 2025, making the family-owned company one of the top 3 companies in the German economy in the automotive industry category that are making a special contribution to the sustainable transformation of the industry.

Brose impressed the expert jury with its measures to reduce the company's greenhouse gas emissions and continuously improve its product-related CO2 footprint through resource-efficient use of materials and circular product design. Brose’s goal is the net carbon-neutral operation of own locations from 2025.1 In addition, the aim is to offer all products launched form 2039 as net carbon-neutral.2

Brose was already nominated for the award in 2023, making it one of the top 12 companies in the automotive industry. This year, the expert jury selected Brose as one of the top 3 finalists. The industry winners will be announced in the fall and honored at the 17th German Sustainability Day on November 28, 2024 in Düsseldorf.

The German Sustainability Award is a national award for excellence in sustainability in business, municipalities and research. With six competitions and over 1,300 applicants, the award is the largest of its kind in Europe. In one of the competitions, the German Sustainability Award Foundation recognizes companies in 100 sectors for particularly effective and innovative contributions to sustainable transformation. The award is supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) and WWF Germany, among others.
