Rapid.Tech 3D 2020 in Erfurt: new name, new date, unique concept

(Erfurt,15 November 2019). Rapid.Tech + FabCon 3.D is becoming Rapid.Tech 3D. Germany's longest-running conference and trade fair for additive technologies will take place in future under a catchy new name and on a new date. Suppliers and users of additive manufacturing are now invited to Messe Erfurt from 5 to 7 May 2020, around six weeks earlier than in previous years. The earlier dates are at the request of exhibitors and visitors, and take the 17th edition of this event back to its roots as it reverts to its original timing.
Bringing the event forward in the year is going hand in hand with further enhancement of its content profile. "Rapid.Tech 3D is the only event aimed at both users and developers of additive manufacturing. Under the banner of 'Understanding.Seeing.Experiencing', we will bring users and suppliers together with even greater focus," says Michael Kynast, CEO of Messe Erfurt GmbH. He outlines the three key elements on which this concept is based: "Firstly, this is the international specialist conference where leading scientists and industry experts share the latest sector-specific findings in industrial 3D printing. Secondly, companies and research institutions present current products and technologies at the exhibition. Often, what you've just heard about in one of the forums is on show and in use at the stands. And thirdly, we offer plenty of space for exchanging ideas and initiating projects through networking - in analogue form in the trade forums, at the stands and the networking evening, and in special networking corners, and digitally via matchmaking with the Rapid.Tech 3D app. All in all, Rapid.Tech 3D is the perfect triad of conference - exhibition - networking," says Michael Kynast, explaining the added value for exhibitors and visitors.
Exhibitors can benefit from the early-bird booking discount until 30 November 2019. In addition to the use of their stand area, they will have the opportunity to actively participate in the specialist conference with its industry-specific forums and to draw attention to their products and services. They can also enter the international 3D Pioneers Challenge, a design contest hosted each year by Messe Erfurt.
Some 4,500 visitors from 27 countries travelled to Erfurt for the 2019 event to attend the specialist conference and see for themselves the presentations by the 180 exhibitors from twelve countries. A considerable 83 per cent of exhibitors said they were satisfied or very satisfied with their trade fair appearance, and 76 per cent said they would recommend the event.
