Marek Kopec appointed Group Director Product

Effective May 1, 2017 Marek Kopec (33) becomes Group Director Product and joins the International Office of Ringier Axel Springer Media AG. In addition, he will be responsible as Director of Product Development for Grupa Onet- RAS Polska. He succeeds Wojciech Urbanski (36), who is leaving the company at his own request.
Marek Kopec will be responsible for managing the Product Owners team and UX Developers. He will be developing products across the Ringier Axel Springer Media Group, including further development and rollout of PULSE 2, the joint CMS platform for all publishing activities of the Group. He will report to Jovan Protic, Group Director Publishing Ringier Axel Springer Media AG and COO of Grupa Onet-RAS Polska.

Marek Kopec has been associated with the company since 2007 when he joined the daily Dziennik as a photo editor. He then became Deputy Head of the photo department responsible for the merger of the photo departments of Dziennik and dziennik.pl. Since 2009 he has been responsible as a Project and Product Manager for the further development of Fakt.pl. Since 2015 he was in charge as Group Product Owner for Grupa Onet-RAS Polska's horizontals, and since 2016 he was also responsible for the further development of Onet's homepage.
