Berlin (euro adhoc) - In June 2008, a total of 2,704,655 passengers travelled on Air Berlin (06/2007: 2,706,088 passengers). At 80.9 percent, fleet capacity utilization was 0.7 percentage points higher than in the corresponding month of the previous year (06/2007: 80.2 percent).
For the first six months of 2008, Air Berlin was able to increase the number of passengers transported to 13,495,036, i.e. an increase of 6.5 percent over the corresponding period of the previous year (2007: 12,666,716 passengers). Capacity utilization for the six-month period rose from 73.9 to 77.1 percent, an increase of 3.2 percentage points over 2007.
In June 2008, flight revenue per available seat kilometer (ASK) reached 5.32 Eurocents, i.e. a 9 percent increase over the previous year (06/2007: 4.88 Eurocents).
