Interviews 20.03.2019 West Leederville - With respect to the OTS announcement released by Mag. Josef Wallner, mayor of the municipality of Deutschlandsberg with the German title "Keine Einigung zu einer möglichen Trinkwassergefährdung zwischen European Lithium und dem Wasserverband Koralm bzw. Deutschlandsberg" (No agreement reached between European Lithium and the water association of Koralm / Deutschlandsberg regarding a potential risk for drinking water) dated 20 March 2019, European Lithium would like to comment as follows: European Lithium is surprised to read the aforementioned OTS announcement on Europe Lithium's project, in which Mag. Josef Wallner, mayor of Deutschlandsberg, points out that no mutually acceptable solution has been reached with the community of Deutschlandsberg regarding the further procedure. This statement is not true. European Lithium wishes to point out that in a meeting on 26 November 2018, Mag. Josef Wallner (mayor of the municipality of Deutschlandsberg) was informed by CEO Dietrich Wanke that European Lithium seeks to make this issue as transparent as possible. European Lithium is fully committed to reporting to the municipality's environmental committee as well as to the town council of Deutschlandsberg at regular intervals and intends to include the committee in all procedural steps. Furthermore, European Lithium wishes to emphasize that the company is in possession of all hydrogeological expert opinions related to the ECM Lithium Weinebene Project and testing and assessments are ongoing. It is absolutely wrong that the quality of the drinking water provided to the population of Deutschlandsberg is at risk. There is no basis to such an assertion. The company reserves the right to seek legal remedy against the author of the aforementioned OTS announcement.
