25 years of vacuum systems for China

Wettenberg (euro adhoc) - (Wettenberg, May 24, 2011) - PVA TePla AG, Wettenberg, a manufacturer of silicon crystallization systems, vacuum and high-temperature systems is celebrating its 25th anniversary of "Vacuum systems for the People´s Republic of China" in 2011. Around 80 of these systems have been sold there since 1986.
1986 marked the start of what has now become a very close relationship between PVA TePla and a whole series of companies from PR China. The first system, an inductively heated vacuum heat treatment system for sinter and high-temperature processes such as degassing, graphitizing, impregnation and reduction, was sent to Guilin. Originally, an order for a Chinese company in the early years still had a certain air of exoticism to it. Now the Chinese market has grown to become the largest single market for the Vacuum Systems Division at PVA TePla. The company received a total of four orders between 1986 and 1999 (all for one system), while the subsequent years saw a downright boom which reached an interim high in 2010 with 12 orders for systems. With regard to incoming orders from China, the current fiscal year is also following the very same trend as the previous year.
At the center point of deliveries in recent years are systems for generating hard metal. 50 such systems have been delivered so far while several systems are under construction and will be shipped to China this year.
All in all, the Vacuum Systems Division recorded an extraordinarily high number of incoming orders in the first months of this year. The first three months of 2011 are the most successful quarter of this division so far in the history of the company with regard to incoming orders, followed by April, which is the most successful individual month so far.
