Berlin (ots)
AVM now offers the world's smallest ISDN access point for Bluetooth wireless technology, BlueFRITZ! AP-ISDN. No bigger than a candy bar and with a weight of just 35 grams, the AP-ISDN simply plugs into the ISDN line. With no further set-up, it provides wireless access to the full convenience of ISDN for up to seven PCs or other Bluetooth devices. And that with a range of up to 100 meters. BlueFRITZ! AP-ISDN is available for EUR 124.14 plus local VAT. The BlueFRITZ! ISDN Set, which includes the AP-ISDN together with one BlueFRITZ! USB client, costs EUR 162.93 plus local VAT.
BlueFRITZ! AP-ISDN: Plug In and Surf On!
The compact access point BlueFRITZ! AP-ISDN is an ideal start in wireless communication. The wireless option is also an easy way to add a notebook or a second PC to an existing ISDN installation at home or at the office. The translucent blue access point is simply plugged into the ISDN NT or an S0 extension line. It is powered by the ISDN line itself, and needs no separate power supply.
Secure Connections Through Encryption and Frequency Hopping
BlueFRITZ! AP-ISDN transports voice and data over a standardized, secure radio link between the ISDN line and the Bluetooth clients. Maximum security against eavesdropping is ensured by 128-bit encryption, activated by default, and by up to 1600 frequency changes per second among 79 channels. The wireless link has a range of up to 100 meters. The ISDN access point's pre-set Bluetooth passkey can be changed by the user at any time, and ensures that only authorized Bluetooth devices can connect to the access point. Furthermore, access can be limited to the clients entered in a configurable list.
All ISDN Features Over Bluetooth
BlueFRITZ! AP-ISDN, like all the BlueFRITZ! family, supports all ISDN applications, including Internet access, file transfer, PC fax and video conferencing. Because BlueFRITZ! AP-ISDN is equipped with the standardized Bluetooth profile CIP (Common ISDN Access Profile), it transports all ISDN features.
