hubergroup to present circular solutions for flexible packaging at Labelexpo Americas 2022
Focusing on sustainable concepts for flexible packaging, the international ink specialist hubergroup Print Solutions will exhibit at Labelexpo Americas 2022. At its stand, hubergroup will showcase its comprehensive UV flexo portfolio of the iray brand as well as its water-based series HYDRO-X and present how these products can contribute to a circular economy.
Only recently, hubergroup announced the relaunch of its UV flexo portfolio under the name iray. As part of this, the ink manufacturer improved the performance of its products and added primers, adhesives, and low-migration inks as well as varnishes for food packaging to the portfolio. Consequently, UV flexo printers can obtain the full range of products required for flexographic printing from hubergroup. “Thanks to intensive research, the products of the iray series are perfectly matched to each other and, thus, guarantee a smooth printing process. Additionally, we ensured that our inks and varnishes are de-inkable on film and paper. We are looking forward to presenting this series at an exhibition for the first time now,” says Clinton Melius, Director of Liquid Inks, NA, at hubergroup.
For water-based printing, hubergroup will present its HYDRO-X brand, which guarantees safe and sustainable packaging printing. HYDRO-X is a modular ink system, which allows printers to select exactly those components from the portfolio that their packaging requires. It covers a wide range of applications in flexo and gravure printing – from flexible packaging made of paper, aluminum, or plastic film to labels or folding cartons.
“What unites our products for flexible packaging is the issue of sustainability,” adds Clinton Melius. “We are convinced that circular solutions are the future for flexible packaging. Thus, we offer de-inkable and recyclable inks as well as varnishes. We invite you to discuss these solutions with us at Labelexpo Americas.”
