The business year 2000 was a very
successful year of the K+S group. The Earnings before interest and
taxes grew by 43% to Euro 126.8 million and the net income by 22% to
Euro 119.8 million.

The Board of Executive Directors will propose to the Annual
Meeting on May 9, 2001, an increase of the dividend payment by some
50% to Euro 0.85 per share. Including the corporate tax credit of
Euro 0.29 per share the gross dividend yield will be 6.4%.
