With its reorientation into a private equity company successfully behind it, AdCapital AG is set to record its best result ever.
At the end of the first nine month, the AdCapital AG consolidated result from ordinary activities was 137 mill. Euro compared with minus 4 mill. Euro at the corresponding time last year. The improvement is due in part to income derived from the sale of holdings in BE Semiconductor Industries N.V. and GEVA Datentechnik. However, the operating result also improved by 14 mill. Euro from minus 9 mill. Euro last year to 5 mill. Euro this year. The post-tax consolidated result at the end of the third quarter was 130 mill. Euro compared with minus 10 mill. In the coming quarter AdCapital will increase the amount invested in new ventures. Management expects that amount to be in the range 30 - 50 mill. Euro for the remainder of fiscal 2000.
