Bonn, 29. Mai 2024: DHL Global Forwarding, der Luft- und Seefrachtspezialist von DHL Group, hat erneut die IATA-Zertifizierung für herausragende Standards bei Life Sciences- und Healthcare-Transporten erhalten. Mit dem CEIV Pharma-Siegel attestiert der internationale Dachverband der Luftfahrtindustrie dem Unternehmen höchste Qualitätsstandards in der Luftfracht durch einheitliche Prozesse und ein richtlinienkonformes Netzwerk.

Zertifizierung und Verpflichtung zu höchsten Standards
CEIV ist ein weltweit anerkannter Standard für die Luftfrachtindustrie, mit dem die International Air Transport Association (IATA) Best-Practices und die Durchsetzung weltweit anerkannter Standards in der Luftfrachtindustrie fördern will. Die Zertifizierung bestätigt die Kompetenz von DHL Global Forwarding bei der Einhaltung von Qualitätsstandards und regulatorischen Anforderungen an die sichere und richtlinienkonforme Abwicklung hochwertiger, zeitkritischer und temperaturgeführter pharmazeutischer Luftfrachttransporte. DHL lässt seine weltweiten Standorte seit 2016 gemäß dem IATA CEIV Pharma-Standard zertifizieren, um sicherzustellen, dass diese die höchsten Standards der Pharmalogistik erfüllen. Durch unabhängige Audits und Schulungen vor Ort hat DHL das Gütesiegel für seine 33 strategischen Life Sciences- und Healthcare-Standorte weltweit erhalten, welches diesen überdurchschnittliche Qualitätsstandards attestiert. Bei DHL Global Forwarding durchlaufen alle Beschäftigten, die mit dem Handling und der Beförderung von medizinischen und pharmazeutischen Produkten betraut sind, ein spezielles Certified Life Sciences Specialist (CLSS) Training. Diese Pflichtschulung stellt sicher, dass sensible Sendungen an allen 111 GxP-Luftfrachtstandorten von DHL weltweit unter Einhaltung der höchsten Branchenstandards bearbeitet werden.
Verbesserung der Servicequalität durch fortschrittliche Technologien
Die cloudbasierte IT-Plattform LifeTrack von DHL bietet Kunden eine transparente Nachverfolgung und ein proaktives Monitoring ihrer Sendungen. Die IATA prüft an jedem Standort, ob Vorgaben zur Temperaturkontrolle und GDP (Good Distribution Practices)-Richtlinien eingehalten werden, um höchste Qualitätsstandards zu gewährleisten.
DHL bietet an seinen Air GxP-Standorten ein breites Produktportfolio für zeit- und temperatursensible Luftfrachtsendungen. Dazu gehören auch spezielle Services wie die Tür-zu-Tür-Kurierlösung „Life Sciences graded Specialty Courier“, der „Medical Express“-Service mit festen Zustellzeiten und „DHL Clinical Trial Logistics“, eine Logistiklösung speziell für klinische Studien, die beispielsweise den Transport von Arzneimitteln, Laborausstattung und sonstiger medizinischer Ausrüstung umfasst.

The CEIV Pharma Standard award underlines DHL's commitment to consistent processes, a compliant network, and the highest quality standards in air freight.

Certification and commitment to the highest standards
CEIV is a globally recognized air cargo industry standard established by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to promote best practices and achieve globally accepted standardization in the air cargo industry. The certification recognizes DHL Global Forwarding's expertise in meeting quality standards and regulatory requirements for safe and compliant air handling of high-value, time-sensitive, and temperature-controlled pharmaceutical products. Since 2016, DHL has certified its global stations to the IATA CEIV Pharma Standard to ensure the highest standards in pharmaceutical logistics. Through independent audits and on-site training, DHL has obtained quality seals for its 33 strategic stations handling Life Sciences and Healthcare air freight worldwide to raise the quality of beyond the usual standards. At DHL Global Forwarding, a dedicated Certified Life Sciences Specialist (CLSS) training is provided to all employees involved in Life Sciences & Healthcare shipments. This mandatory training ensures that sensitive shipments at all 111 DHL Air GxP stations worldwide are handled in accordance with the highest industry standards.
Improve service quality with advanced technologies
DHL's cloud-based IT platform, LifeTrack, provides customers with transparent tracking and proactive monitoring of their shipments. IATA verifies compliance with temperature control regulations and GDP guidelines at all locations to ensure the highest quality standards.
DHL offers a broad product portfolio for time- and temperature-sensitive air freight shipments at its Air GxP locations.
