Bonn, 17. Juni 2024: Am 1. Juli wird Markus Panhauser neuer CEO von DHL Global Forwarding in Deutschland und der Schweiz. In seiner neuen Rolle übernimmt er die Verantwortung für beide Länderorganisationen. Panhauser tritt die Nachfolge von Tobias Schmidt an, der seit November 2021 zusätzlich zu seiner Rolle als CEO von DHL Global Forwarding Europa die zwei Länderorganisationen erfolgreich geleitet hat. Mit Barbara Eleota wurde auch bereits eine Nachfolgerin für Markus Panhauser in der Rolle als Head of Ocean Freight DHL Global Europa gefunden.

Erfolgreiche Entwicklung und Umsetzung von Prozessen, Strukturen und Produkten
Markus Panhauser wechselte 2020 als Head of Ocean Freight DHL Global Forwarding Europa in den Konzern, nachdem er zuvor bei verschiedenen globalen Logistikunternehmen umfangreiche Erfahrung im Speditionsgeschäft gesammelt hatte. In den vergangenen drei Jahren hat er das europäische Seefrachtgeschäft des Unternehmensbereichs mit Erfolg auf ein hohes Leistungsniveau gebracht und so einen maßgeblichen Beitrag zur Steigerung der Rentabilität geleistet.

Vielfältige Perspektive, großes Fachwissen und bewährte Führungsqualitäten
Barbara Eleota tritt als Head of Ocean Freight DHL Global Forwarding Europa am 1. August 2024 die Nachfolge von Markus Panhauser an. Eleota wechselt von DB Schenker zu DHL Group und bringt über 25 Jahre Erfahrung in der Logistikbranche in ihre neue Rolle ein. Im Laufe ihrer Karriere war sie insbesondere im Bereich Trade Management mit Fokus auf Nordamerika und als Country Ocean Freight Manager in Italien sehr erfolgreich. Eleota wird ihr Büro in Hamburg haben und direkt an Tobias Schmidt und Casper Ellerbaek, Global Head of Ocean Freight bei DHL Global Forwarding, berichten.

Bonn, June 17, 2024 – Effective July 1, Markus Panhauser will be appointed as the new CEO of DHL Global Forwarding Germany and Switzerland. He will assume dual responsibility for both country organizations in his new role. Panhauser succeeds Tobias Schmidt, who has successfully led both country organizations alongside his role as CEO of DHL Global Forwarding Europe since November 2021. Barbara Eleota will assume the role of Head of Ocean Freight DHL Global Forwarding Europe, succeeding Markus Panhauser.

Proven ability to develop and implement successful processes, structures, and products
Markus Panhauser joined the Group in 2020 as Head of Ocean Freight DHL Global Forwarding Europe after gaining extensive experience in the forwarding business at different global logistics companies. Over the past three years, he has successfully elevated the European Ocean Freight business to an exceptional level of performance, leading to a substantial increase in profitability.

A diverse perspective, great expertise, and proven leadership skills as successor
Taking over from Panhauser, Barbara Eleota will assume the position of Head of Ocean Freight DHL Global Forwarding Europe effective August 1, 2024. Joining DHL Group from DB Schenker, Eleota brings over 25 years of experience in the logistics sector. Throughout her career, she has excelled in Trade Management, particularly focusing on North America, and as Country Ocean Freight Manager in Italy. Eleota will be based in Hamburg and will report directly to Tobias Schmidt, with a dotted line to Casper Ellerbaek, Global Head of Ocean Freight at DHL Global Forwarding.
