Munich (ots Ad hoc-Service) - Following the registration of the second tranche of the capital increase of Direkt Anlage Bank AG ("DAB") which was completed on January 11, 2001, the capital measures required for the acquisition of 93.1 Prozent of the shares of Self Trade, Paris ("Self Trade"), a Societe Anonyme under French law, have now been concluded.
On December 29. 2000, a capital increase amounting to EUR 7,206,046 which was resolved at the extraordinary General Shareholders' Meeting of DAB held on November 15, 2000 against the contribution of 28,824,184 shares in Self Trade by certain major shareholders was registered in the Commercial Register.
In addition, on January 11, 2001 the utilization of the Authorized Capital II (the so-called Genehmigtes Kapital II) resolved by the extraordinary General Shareholders' Meeting of DAB held on November 15, 2000 and amounting to EUR 4,451,638.00 was registered in the Commercial Register of the local court in Munich in compliance with the obligation to those shareholders of Self Trade who had accepted the public tender offer effected in France from October 30 through December 1, 2000, consisting of an exchange of four Self Trade shares for one DAB share. Following the capital increases indicated above, the share capital of Direkt Anlage Bank now amounts to EUR 68,157,684,-.
Due to the acquisition of the Self Trade shares, DAB has gained access to four key European markets (France, the U.K., Italy and Spain) all at once and is consolidating its position as the third largest discount broker (in terms of securities accounts under management) in Europe.
