New Contract

INIT Innovations in Transportation, Inc., has been awarded a major contract with Community Transit in Everett, Washington. The US American subsidiary of init innovation in traffic systems AG will equip the complete fleet of Community Transit´s 337 Fixed Route vehicles and 55 Paratransit vehicles with their JAVA-based CAD/AVL software and onboard computers. The project has a volume of 10 Mio. US-Dollar and is scheduled to begin immediately with completion projected in the spring of 2010.
Community Transit operates 64 bus routes in the Seattle metropolitan area and provides more than 10 million passenger rides a year. Community Transit will also utilize other INIT technologies including: on-board next stop displays and announcements with MP3 Voice data center for audio recording, automatic passenger counting system, statistics software for reporting, wireless LAN and real-time passenger information. In addition, INIT will provide an interface to the destination signs, traffic signal priority system, fare boxes and Paratransit Scheduling Software.
