init innovation in traffic systems AG completed the 2005 fiscal year with record results. According to the preliminary figures (IFRS), the earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) reached a level of 4.2 million Euro (2004: -1.1 mill. Euro), while sales also exceeded the prior year record of 32.5 mill. Euro, increasing to 33.4 mill. Euro. Consequently, the Karlsruhe-based supplier of integrated telematics and electronic fare collection systems for buses and trams for the first time achieved an annual margin of 12.6 per cent. The earnings per share amounted to 0.26 Euro (2004: -0.07 Euro). The liquid funds including the marketable securities added up to 10.8 mill. Euro (2004: 3.4 mill. Euro). The satisfactory business development in 2005 was due to successful major projects in both Europe and North America and to a significant economic up-turn on the German market. The signs for the current fiscal year point to further substantial growth: as of the beginning of the year, the orders on hand aggregated to 54.4 mill. Euro (2004: 22.7 mill. Euro).
