Market leader presents heat pump innovations

First-hand information about new products and further developments in the field of renewable energy for heating, ventilation and DHW applications awaits visitors to the "Intersolar 2009" exhibition from 27 to 29 May 2009 in Munich at STIEBEL ELTRON's stand. In Hall B2 at stand 220, the experts will be showing the latest trends where heat pumps are concerned.
World-class athletes like the world champion handball player Florian Kehrmann and the winner of the Olympic biathlon Michael Greis depend, like so many people when building a new house, on heat pumps from STIEBEL ELTRON, which use free and clean energy from the environment. Because the environment is full of power. With a heat pump, a large part of this solar energy, stored in the air, water or ground, can be used for heating or hot water. A system of this type definitely makes sense in terms of economic efficiency. It is still possible to obtain energy for heating even when outside temperatures reach -20 degrees. Calculated over the course of one year, the heat pump will generally reduce costs for heating energy by up to 50 per cent or more, as opposed to conventional heating. Where the potential for savings is this high, the investment costs for a system will have already been amortised within a few years.
The German market leader will for instance be presenting the new WPF E brine-water heat pump in Munich.
The new WPF E/cool series of heat pumps from STIEBEL ELTRON is convincing with the integrated, high-efficiency circulation pumps and a high level of integration. This saves the engineer fitting the heat pump many stages of work and as a result both material and time. As the integral components all match each other, operational safety is improved and potential errors in installation are ruled out from the start. Thanks to the integrated high-efficiency pumps, both on the brine and the heating side, it is possible to increase the efficiency of the heating system even further.
Another new feature is the high-quality design. It has strikingly clean and distinct lines. The ergonomic arrangement of the user panel with the retractable control box underneath makes operation ideal for all types of users and ensures that installation is quick and without complications. The casing for the hydraulic lines that is additionally included in standard delivery is also new and makes sure that insulation is clean and professional.
The new brine to water heat pump is available in two versions: as an E version for heating and domestic hot water and as a cool version for cooling, heating and domestic hot water. Innovative technology, a high standard of workmanship and distinct design are plus factors which make the new WPF E and WPF cool series of heat pumps stand out from the rest.
Visitors can also take a good look at the new WPL 14 HT that already created quite a stir at the ISH in Frankfurt and was met with great enthusiasm. If there was no space heating available in existing buildings as a heat distribution system, this frequently used to pose a problem when installing heat pumps. Flow temperatures of over 60 degrees, which are needed in some of these older buildings, would make the use of environmentally friendly heat pump technology for heating impossible without additional measures. STIEBEL ELTRON now offers the ideal appliance for use in instances like this too with the new high-performance WPL 14 HT heat pump: flow temperatures of up to 75 degrees and a high heating capacity of 12.5 kW at an outside temperature of -15° make it possible to have monovalent heating without additional electric heating. In this way a combination with practically any system for heat distribution, in particular radiators as well, is feasible. The technical risk for the engineer in refurbishments with heat pumps is kept to a minimum and the customer has no need to worry about excessive electricity bills as a result of direct electrical heating.
