Audi production to continue throughout the holiday period
Ingolstadt/Neckarsulm (ots)
The Audi production lines will stay running throughout the holiday period. Production has continued during this period since 1994 at the Audi plant in Ingolstadt and since 1997 at the Neckarsulm plant, and operations will be maintained again this year between 31 July and 10 September. "Our production sites are operating at maximum capacity, the order books are full. A holiday break is therefore out of the question", explained Jürgen Gebhardt, Member of the Board for Production. This means that Audi can also respond flexibly to customer requirements in the summer months.
Audi is an international developer and manufacturer of high-quality cars. The company maintains production sites in Germany, Hungary, Brazil, China and South Africa. In 1999 Audi supplied around 635,000 cars and produced more than 1.2 million engines, bringing in sales revenues in excess of DM 29.6 billion. The Audi Group has more than 48,000 employees.
