Britta Meyermann becomes Managing Director of Odeon Fiction

She succeeds Mischa Hofmann, who is stepping down from his role as Managing Director

Munich, April 29, 2025 - Britta Meyermann, who has been working very successfully for Odeon Fiction as Producer and Head of International Co-Production since 2013, will join the management of the renowned production company on May 1, 2025. She succeeds Mischa Hofmann, who is stepping down from his role as Managing Director on May 31, 2025 after 19 years.

Britta Meyermann has been responsible for highly-acclaimed and award-winning productions such as the Grimme Prize-nominated series THE NIGHT IN QUESTION, the thriller series THE SEED with Heino Ferch and Ingrid Bolsø Berdal in the main cast, which won the Golden Nymph Award for Best Creation and the Jury Special Prize, as well as the spy series SPY CITY, co-produced with Miramax Television and ZDF and starring Dominic Cooper and Leonie Benesch, which aired in the USA on AMC+ . Her current projects include the development of a major international co-production series with Degeto and the English-language series LEARNING TO FLY, which she is developing as a co-production between Odeon Fiction, the Swedish-French producer Patrick Nebout ("Midnight Sun", "The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared", "Whiskey on the Rocks") and the Finnish broadcaster YLE.

Britta Meyermann began her career in the media industry in 2006 at Majestic Filmverleih and moved to ZDF Enterprises in 2009, where she was responsible for the acquisition of feature films and TV series for ZDF and ZDFneo. From 2011 to 2013, she worked for Global Screen as VP Acquisitions & Co-Production.
