Excellent perspectives after enactment of the EEG
Today the German parliament successfully enacted the "Law for the priority of renewable energies" (EEG). The new laws goal is to make a contribution to the environment protection by supporting power generation from renewable sources. This legally founds the goal set by the European Union and the Federal Republic of Germany to double the portion of renewable energies in the total generation of power. This law obligates the network operators to connect the power plants who generated power from renewable sources and to give priority to the purchase from such power plants.
The Plambeck Neue Energien AG as market leader in the field of power generation from wind farms, is operating in a dynamic environment of which the expansion is politically wanted and economically secured.
The effect of the new law clearly improves the business conditions of the Plambeck Neue Energien AG. This stands especially for the amout paid by the network operators for the power generation from renewable sources. The disconnection of the feed in remuneration from the general development of the prices for power strengthens the basis for the planning of all projects. With the omission of the 5% lid of the old electricity feed in law there will now be no more quantity restrictions limiting the expansion of wind farms, based on this the Cuxhaven company emphasizes that they - contrary to the old monopolists of the power industry - have already an excellent position in this market for the future.
With a planning time of 20 years Plambeck can calculate with a feed in remuneration of an average amount of 17.3 Pfennigs per kWh for inland locations. The demand of wind farms will increase because of the higher feed in remuneration and the operation will be more attractive.
"To move some wind farm projects into the year 2000 was the right business decision" stated Dr. von Geldern, Chief Executive Officer of the Plambeck Neue Energien AG.
The realisation of the first heat plant of the 5 MW class in Thüringen this year will give the start signal for the new founded division biomass.
