Cuxhaven (euro adhoc) - April 14, 2009 - The wind farm developer Plambeck Neue Energien AG has taken the Alt Zeschdorf wind farm in Brandenburg into operation after a very short construction period of three months. The three Vestas V90 wind-energy systems fitted here distinguish themselves by the great hub height of 108 metres with a tower 105 metres in height. The foundations were placed on the ground, thus increasing the hub height. The wind-energy systems have a nominal output of 2 MW each.
The wind-energy systems in Alt Zeschdorf can cover the annual energy requirements of around 4,000 private households. Thus the wind farm makes a significant contribution to environmental protection, as around 8,500 tons of carbon dioxide and other pollutants are avoided every year as a result of the environmentally friendly generation of energy from wind.
Back in February 2009, Plambeck Neue Energien AG had reported the sale of the wind-farms together with the Schwienau II and Buchholz projects to EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG. The Alt Zeschdorf wind-farm will be handed over to EnBW in the near future.
Bernd Paulsen, the member of the Plambeck Board responsible project development, refers to the special point about the Alt Zeschdorf wind-farm: "With the hub height of 108 metres, we achieve very good use of the wind provided at this location. This increases the profitability of this project for the buyer. This is where optimisation of wind-parks by us pays its way."
Corporate profile
Plambeck Neue Energien AG with its headquarters in Cuxhaven plans and implements wind farm projects on land (onshore) and at sea (offshore). The key competence of the company is the development, projecting, implementation and financing of wind farms and their operation and sale with subsequent service. Up to now, the enterprise has set up 90 wind farms with 524 wind-energy systems and a total nominal output of 741 MW.
Alongside the business activity on the established German market, the company is increasingly expanding into dynamic growth markets. Via joint ventures, Plambeck Neue Energien AG is already represented in Hungary, Bulgaria, Turkey, Great Britain, Ireland and Romania. In these countries, wind farm projects with a nominal output of up to 1,430 MW are under development and are to be realized in the medium term. Furthermore a subsidiary is founded in the USA. In Germany (onshore) wind farm projects with a nominal output of more than 400 MW are under development, of which 82 MW are under construction.
Over and above this, Plambeck Neue Energien AG develops offshore wind farm projects, of which two major projects in German waters have already been approved. Entry to promising foreign markets is also being examined for the offshore area.
