Watches for new beginnings
Four new NOMOS watches for the next generation of graduates—four Club Campus models in the colors of the zeitgeist: Absolute Gray and Future Orange.
GLASHÜTTE, APRIL 7, 2021. Club Campus is the renowned series of watches from NOMOS Glashütte for a new generation, which now includes four brand-new models—in two sizes and two fitting new colors: Absolute Gray and Future Orange. Known as the “Graduate’s Club”, the Campus series is the first step into the world of mechanical wristwatches. These watches are attractively priced, robust, and lasting; after graduation and other milestones, they serve as companions for all the successes and challenges to come. Steadfast rewards on the wrist for a lifetime, in other words. Due to this exceptional year, all the successes and tribulations of homeschooling and academic achievement deserve special recognition. Ceremonies, celebrations, and trips are difficult, so other signs of appreciation and acknowledgment are all the more important.
The dial is characteristically bilingual, thanks to the Campus combination of Arabic and Roman numerals and indexes. On the case back is room for an 88-character message to the recipient: Well wishes, words of praise, or a poignant memory. This engraving is, as always with Campus models, complimentary.
The four new NOMOS watches for new beginnings come in two sizes: Club Campus (36 millimeters in diameter) and Club Campus 38 (38 millimeters). All four are powered by the NOMOS manual caliber Alpha, the most-produced in-house movement from Glashütte—developed on-site in the 175-year-old-tradition of Glashütte watchmaking and made by hand.
New colors, new names
The new colors are contemporary and match the sensibilities of a new generation of watch owners; they also beautifully reflect the current zeitgeist. Absolute Gray captures the feeling of having spent many testing months in homeschooling—but it is also incredibly elegant, and now ready to go perfectly with a smart outfit for the office. The dash of purple and orange in the typography symbolize daybreak—and are signs of better times to come. Numerals and indexes shine blue in the dark, the sub-seconds hand is neon orange. The version with the dial in Future Orange also has one. This dial color is emphatic and represents new beginnings, the rising of the sun, the future.
The new Club Campus models are available from the end of May in select retailers and online at nomos-glashuette.com.
