NOMOS Lookbook for the Fall/Winter 22/23
Mechanical watches, which are now an especially worthwhile investment, classics, eyecatchers, and of course new additions: Gracing our wrists now.
GLASHÜTTE, AUGUST 2022. A watch can tell the time. It can be a piece of jewelry and a status symbol; a career enhancer or memento. And, increasingly: an investment. In all cases, a mechanical watch can bring joy—one glance at the time.
In a meticulous process, watchmaker NOMOS Glashütte based in Glashütte in the German eastern Ore Mountains, lovingly crafts beautiful handmade watches for life, and for personalities. Long rods of steel or brass are delivered and then used to manufacture, assemble, finish and calibrate minute components for calibers. This is how 175 years of Glashütte watchmaking tradition gives rise to timepieces which are unsurpassed throughout the world. A range of diameters ensures each wrist will find the right watch.
To this day, their designs are based on the rules of Bauhaus and Deutscher Werkbund—albeit taking liberties with case and dial shades, as well as strap materials. A huge success: NOMOS watches have garnered 170 international awards in the categories for design and quality since the fall of the Berlin Wall. Most of the models have long since become classics, and others with improved designs are likely to become the classics of tomorrow. Here are the manufacture’s favorites for the Fall/Winter of 22/23: Watches which are particularly worthwhile as investments, models of timeless beauty—and most of all, those which have just debuted on the market.
Want to see more? Just ask. We always have loan watches available to test and photograph. Feel free to contact us—we’re here for you. Have a great summer!
Sincerely, Oliver Nyikos
