Ad hoc announcement according to §15 WpHG
Ahrensburg, March 31st 2008 - Basler AG - a leading company in the Vision Technology segment - has won a contract from AU Optronics, Taiwan - one of the world's leading manufacturers of flat-screen modules - to supply two new generations 7.5 and 8.5 production lines with inspection systems. The systems check the quality of so-called color filters on flat-screen glass. Color filters are made of thin color filter layers that make it possible to display color image information on flat-screen displays. The order value amounts to more than EUR 6 million making it the largest individual order ever for the company. Order processing will extend into the fiscal year 2009. This contract underlines Basler AG's technological leadership in the inspection of coated and uncoated glass for the production of flat-screen displays.
