In its meeting on March 28, 2001, the Deutsche Lufthansa Executive Board authorized LSG Lufthansa Service Holding AG to acquire the US catering company Onex Food Services, Inc. (Sky Chefs), Arlington, Texas, earlier than planned on June 1, 2001. The value of the transaction is estimated to be about 1 billion US dollars. This paves the way for a fast integration of the two companies.
