EQUIS Accreditation Renewed for WHU
The European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD Global) has announced this week its decision to award WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management with a five-year extension of its EQUIS accreditation—a status the school has maintained since 1999 as the only German business school.
EQUIS Accreditation Renewed for WHU
In December of last year, two representatives from EFMD Global, Professor Giuseppe Soda (Dean of SDA Bocconi) and Dr. Sofia Salgado (former Dean of Católica Porto Business School), visited the school’s campus in Vallendar, Rhineland-Palatinate, to conduct an abbreviated accreditation process and discuss the school’s strategic direction and goals for the immediate and mid-term future.
Following a comprehensive data collection process on the part of WHU, both Professor Soda and Dr. Salgado offered largely positive feedback, invaluable insights, and some constructive suggestions for the coming years. This outcome has made WHU the only German business school to have received the full five-year extension for six consecutive cycles.
An important seal of approval for business schools active on the international stage, EQUIS represents a unique opportunity for collegiate exchange and a chance to further define a school’s ambitions. It is often a prerequisite for participating in today’s most salient rankings, and it ensures that students receive a high-quality education throughout their time on campus.
