DHL und Central Airlines unterzeichnen Absichtserklärung zur Bildung einer neuen Partnerschaft
DHL Express beabsichtigt, im Rahmen einer mehrjährigen Vereinbarung zwei eigene Boeing 777-Frachtflugzeuge mit Central Airlines einzusetzen
Bonn/Chengdu, 15. Juli 2024: DHL Express, der weltweit führende internationale Expressdienstleister, hat eine Absichtserklärung zum Abschluss einer Vereinbarung mit Central Airlines (HLF / I9) über den Einsatz von zwei DHL B777 Frachtflugzeugen unterzeichnet. Dies ist das erste Mal, dass DHL Express dies mit einer lokalen chinesischen Frachtfluggesellschaft tut.
„Die Unterzeichnung der Absichtserklärung ist für beide Parteien ein wichtiger Meilenstein im Prozess des Aufbaus einer Partnerschaft und ein weiterer Schritt für DHL Express, sein Engagement für eine langfristige Entwicklung in China zu erfüllen und die Zusammenarbeit mit chinesischen Unternehmen zu suchen und zu vertiefen. Die Partnerschaft mit Central Airlines wird unsere Kapazitäten auf interkontinentalen Frachtrouten aus China weiter stärken und gleichzeitig chinesischen Unternehmen mehr Komfort und höhere Effizienz bei der globalen Expansion ihrer Geschäfte bieten“, sagte Dongming Wu, CEO China bei DHL Express.
Die beiden DHL B777-Frachtflugzeuge, die für den Einsatz bei Central Airlines geliefert werden, tragen eine Doppellackierung von DHL und Central Airlines. Die B777 ist das größte, reichweitenstärkste und leistungsfähigste zweistrahlige Frachtflugzeug der Welt und reduziert die CO2-Emissionen im Vergleich zu den alten B747-400-Maschinen um 18 Prozent.
Annie Hou, Vorstandsvorsitzende von Central Airlines, sagte: „Wir freuen uns sehr über die Partnerschaft mit DHL Express und sind voller Erwartungen und Vertrauen in die Zusammenarbeit zwischen beiden Seiten. Die Partnerschaft passt gut zu unserer aktuellen Planung für den Einsatz von B777-Frachtern. Mit den beiden zusätzlichen B777 werden wir DHL Express mit mehr Kapazität unterstützen und zur Entwicklung des grenzüberschreitenden E-Commerce sowie zur Förderung der chinesischen Lieferketten und der chinesischen Unternehmen im Ausland beitragen.“

DHL Express betreibt über 300 Flugzeuge in seinem globalen Netzwerk von 220 Ländern und Territorien.
Central Airlines betreibt mehr als 10 B737F- und B777F-Frachtflugzeuge und hat über 40 nationale und internationale Frachtrouten eingerichtet.

DHL and Central Airlines ink Letter of Intent to form new partnership
DHL Express intends to deploy two owned Boeing 777 freighters with Central Airlines through a multi-year Operating agreement
Bonn/Chengdu, July 15, 2024: DHL Express, the world’s leading international express service provider, has signed a Letter of Intent to enter into an Operating Agreement with Central Airlines (HLF / I9) to deploy two DHL B777 freighters. This will be the first time for DHL Express to do so with a local Chinese cargo airline.
“The signing of the Letter of Intent is an important milestone for both parties in the process of establishing a partnership and is another important step for DHL Express to deliver its commitment to long term development in China, and to seek and deepen its cooperation with Chinese companies. The partnership with Central Airlines will further strengthen our capacity on intercontinental cargo routes from China while providing more convenience and higher efficiency for Chinese enterprises to expand their businesses globally”, said Dongming Wu, CEO China at DHL Express.
The two DHL B777 freighters to be delivered for operations by Central Airlines will sport a dual DHL and Central Airlines livery. The B777 is the world's largest, longest range, and most capable twin-engine freighter, reducing CO2 emissions by 18 percent compared to the legacy B747-400s.
Annie Hou, Chairman of Central Airlines, said: “We are very pleased to establish a partnership with DHL Express and are full of expectations and confidence in the prospects of cooperation between the two sides. The partnership fits well with our current B777 freighter operations planning. With the two additional B777s, we will provide stronger capacity to support DHL Express and contribute to the development of cross border e-commerce and promoting China’s supply chain and Chinese firms going abroad.”
