These days, both business customers and private consumers want technologically sophisticated mobile phones for voice and internet services. However, exclusive design and simple operation are becoming increasingly important criteria in this customer segment - criteria that are met in full by Vodafone's comprehensive range of new smartphones and 3G broadband modems. Visitors to the IFA trade fair will have the opportunity to see all the impressive new models at the Vodafone booth in hall 18.
The exclusive Nokia 6730 classic is Vodafone's first trade fair highlight. Equipped with 3G broadband for data transfer rates of up to 3.6 mbit/s and a 2.2 inch display, this handset is perfect for mobile internet. A special user interface on the handset simplifies the activation of various services. The e-mail function is also very easy to use. All you have to do to activate the Vodafone e-mail account is insert the SIM card and the eMail Setup Wizard does the rest. No configuration is necessary. The integrated A-GPS receiver guarantees precision navigation in conjunction with the Vodafone Navigator. The Nokia 6730 classic also has an MP3 player and a stereo radio, and its 50 MB memory can be supplemented by the 1 GB microSD card which is supplied with the phone. The elegant Nokia 6600i slide boasts a sleek and sophisticated design. Its 5 megapixel camera with dual LED flash and auto focus function makes photography childsplay. Technology freaks will be delighted to hear that the Nokia N97, which was announced last summer, is now also available at the Vodafone shops. This smartphone has a 3.5" touchscreen and a pull-out physical QUERTY keyboard for convenient e-mail writing. 3G broadband and WLAN make it perfect for internet surfers with the need for speed. A 5 megapixel CMOS digital camera, GPS receiver and RDS radio round off the pacakge.
The Vodafone 533 Crystal is a luxury lifestyle phone and a new addition to Vodafone's own Catwalk Edition range. It has a VGA camera, an FM radio and an integrated MP3 player. Set with 126 Swarovski crystals, this exclusive handset is predestined to be the belle of any glamour party.
The Samsung Jet S8000 unites stylish elegance with impressive multimedia functions. Ist 3.1 inch touchscreen plus WLAN and 3G broadband make it ideal for high speed mobile internet. The MP3 player and RDS radio are conveniently activated via the cube navigation. It's easy to shoot perfect photos with the 5 megapixel camera with image stabilisor and smile shot function.
Sony-Ericsson has scored an ace with its W995 model. One of this mobile phone's most impressive features is an 8.1 megapixel digital camera with image stabilisor and facial recognition function. It also has a Walkman[TM] player with preset equalizer and an RDS radio for pure entertainment.
Canadian manufacturer RIM is launching the new BlackBerry® Curve[TM] 8520 just in time for the IFA. This first-time buyer smartphone model features a classic BlackBerry design with QUERTY keyboard and track pad navigation. The multimedia player has convenient separate multimedia button controls on top of the housing.
Vodafone's Mobile W-LAN Spot is perfect for people who need a WLAN hotspot while they're out and about. With a downlink rate of up to 7.2 mbit/s and an uplink rate of up to 3 mbit/s in selected parts of the Vodafone network, it provides high speed internet access for a maximum of five WLAN-capable terminals. The WLAN router has two special features. It can be operated for several hours on battery power alone, i.e. without the need for a mains cable, and it has a microSD card slot for up to 16 gigabytes of memory. This memory can be used like a central network by all the terminals using the hotspot.
