Ad hoc-announcement edited and sent by DGAP. The sender is solely responsible for the contents of this announcement.
Double E, a joint venture between DEAG (WKN 551 390) and the ndF Entertainment (a company in the Kirch Group), has been chosen by the n-tv Nachrichtenfernsehen GmbH & Co. KG to produce a daily prime-time entertainment news magazine. The programme "Vivi@ns Entertainment" will in future fill a niche in the TV market by bringing together the increasingly important topics "Entertainment" and "Economy". In terms of content, all material will be included which relates to show business and the world of the stars of music, film, TV and theatre. This subject matter will be presented every day in an entertainment news-block on n-tv, focussing attention on the importance of Germany's billion-mark entertainment industry in a stock-market-oriented setting.
Beginning on 18th September this year, a three-minute contribution will be broadcasted several times every day during the week. At the weekend a compendium magazine approximately 18 minutes in length will be presented, including background information and interviews.
Double E will have its own production personnel in Munich and Berlin, working with access to the archives of the n-tv partner-company CNN. As "Title sponsor" it has been possible to attract the new print and online magazine Vivi@n. The cross-platform product Vivi@n is dedicated to the needs and interests of modern working women, and is published in Burda Verlag.
In addition, Double E as production company also shares with n-tv the rights to market the television entertainment magazine via the Internet.
DEAG is thus opening a channel for the exploitation of its contents on television, providing Double E with first access to exclusive news, interviews or premiere reports on its own musical, variety and rock/pop business. In the future the programme will be increasingly integrated in terms of content and technology with other activities of DEAG in the Media & Commerce segment.
