- Planned year-on-year revenue growth of 80%+ - Substantial increase in income
United Labels AG, the specialist for comicware sold under licence, has adjusted upwards its revenue targets for 2001 to DM 91 million (consolidated in accordance with IAS). In its second year after going public the company is thus expected to achieve a growth figure of more than 80% substantially higher than that of previous years.
Income before taxes for 2001 is expected to grow by more than 90% year- on-year, to a figure of DM 10.6 million.
The company's considerable level of expansion is attributed mainly to its success in terms of extending its portfolio of licences, e.g. the pan- European licensing agreement for "The Bear in the Big Blue House" as well as the agreement with Warner Bros. relating to the marketing of "Looney Tunes" and "Tom and Jerry" products. The acquisition of Colombine bvba (Belgium) and Jocky Team s.a. (Spain) has also led to accelerated growth. As a result, United Labels is now in a position to market its comicware with 4,000 retail partners throughout Europe, twice as many as before.
